That's typical over reaction of our officials. If the camera flash won't slow them down, the muzzle flash will...   :mad:

After seeing the amount of the speeding ticket the driver probably hopes they would have shot instead.

Who said we did? Brits, French etc. all promised help in 1939 but nobody came. So we had to make do with what we had.

They weren't at that time. Perhaps you should study some history? The soviets were attacking Poland together with the nazis at that time.

Percentage based fines make more sense, no?  In the US we have fines that cripple the poor, sting the middle class and are meaninglessly pitiful to the wealthy.  Shouldn't a fine be felt by all?  Just because it is a huge number to you doesn't make it so to the recipient.

No, Finland was not at war with the UK from Finland's perspective.  The UK may have seen it differently.
