So I guess teleportation is part of the remaining 20% then.

U said 80% and that is wrong. And having an electron teleported doesnt mean that we are nowere near doing it with humans. (For example)

I said 80% is either done or proven possible. So what in your opinion is wrong in that statement?

You do realize that 80% of 'future stuff' in Star Trek is now either a daily reality or proven scientifically to be possible in the near future?

That statement is wrong. Cut out "in the near future" and it become more right.

Why? Warp drive and EmDrive technology could be a reality in the near future. That doesn't mean we'll launch the Enterprise in that time frame, but perhaps a tiny test probe that will achieve warp factor 0.000000000000000000000001 just to prove it can be done. We'd need matter-antimatter reactors or another really powerful source of energy to power a practical FTL capable drive. The "impulse drive"/EmDrive could be used on spacecraft and space stations in the near future.

Lot of agencies, groups and governments are trying to make this work. Who ever gets it working will have a definite edge in life as we know it. War, economics and everyday life.  I think it is a question of when they will get it working not if.

If you look at a lot of other advancements we have seen in our life time we are getting closer to Star Trek all the time. Our phones are beyond what a lot of us thought we would see in 1969. Nasa just tested a near warp drive engine and proved the theory. (see Nasa EM drive) Robotics. 20 years from now robotics will be beyond the manufacturing sector and into the home.

The Universe after the Big Bang  :devil

only problem with that theory is how did the universe all got together in one big ball?  and where did all that matter came from?

They have theories for all of it. The people that proposed it don't have holes in their theories.

I think the matrix begins to make more sense than any other theory out there.

A very large and hairy cat in deep interstellar space coughed up a hairball after quite a bit of hacking. That hairball since then has expanded and turned into now what we see as what is all around us  :D

Matter is just energy tied up by itself like a knot, so it's all energy. Undo the knot the energy is released and boom, we make Hiroshima glow in the dark.
