that's the problem I see.  for example v made a comment about hitech not making a statement about hq griefing in the same thread where hitech mentioned that it was not an easy fix.  so go figure.

Learn to read bubba.  He made the statement after many of us quit in exasperation over no comment from him about it at all.   I merely mentioned my wish he had said something sooner.  Perhaps I would have kept dumping my money in if he had.

He's 'helping' the only way he knows how - by cancelling his subscription, asking others to join him in that and staying a puffy nuisance on the forum.

Any other game on the internet and he'd be trying to sneak back through a new forum account by now.

^^^^ Can't stop stalking me.   I hope he is on the payroll at least.  Probably loves in a box in the parking lot where HTC is based.

The company I work for owns about 300-400 different types of air quality, water quality, and geo survey instruments; all of which can connect to computers to download data.

Guess how many can connect to Apples? One. It uses i-products as the interface (cool!). The only people who like it are Apple people.

If Apples are so great, why do most equipment manufacturers build their stuff to work with only MS?

This is not a rhetorical question, it's something I've always wondered.

According to what I can find on a few websites, the variants of Mac OS X account for less than 8% of the desktop market.

Now, that's what I call low numbers.

8 percent of of owners is what number? In the USA? 2 million people? We only need like 100 new early daytime players and 200 more at prime time to make a huge difference.

And we'll get those by coding for Linux? Factor in percentage of people who play this genre of game within those 2 million. Think 'point oh something.' Ten maybe. Stress maybe.

If things were only that easy.

If you are talking about 200 more subscribers - you would hardly note that in the actual online numbers.

If you are talking about an additional 200 player online during primetime...  you'd need something like 6 to 10 times more subscribers than that number to reach that goal.  And "100 more players" online during early (US) daytime would probably mean something like doubling or even tripling the current playerbase.

Linux Wine still is not good enough for prime time gaming IMO.

My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

To bad server based virtual desktops only run well for business apps and spread sheets. I guess your PC would still have to run the drivers locally for the HOTAS while your video card's 3D functions were supported by the virtualization.

There are probably too many limitations that make this practical for PC game functionality.

You can install/run Windows on a Mac, you just need a seperate partition. AH should run fine its pretty lightweight.

Indeed. It runs well on my Windows 7 partitions.

Every company I have worked at, the department that creates marketing advertisements or the WEB site. The artists are Mac people. Interfacing them into a Microsoft based environment is more trouble than they are worth. And they whine a lot to boot.
