Cool, then I can lock up your CV in a critical moment. I think that will easily create more trouble than a poor soul "upping too early"  :devil

my mistake... I always forget the "Seedy underbelly" of every feature... How will it negatively impact gameplay eh?  lol kind of like not being able to control CV groups bug; "Unable to Fly From this Field As El Capitan "XXXYYY" has Locked the Flight deck"

I got it, simply allow the user to bypass the captains orders!   Make it a prompt that tells/warns you that the flight deck operations have been temporarily suspended during active shelling, Are You Sure You Want To Launch?

New idea. Let's extend dotdar to 8 bazillion miles and radar altitude to 6" off the ground.

And expand its capabilites to include surface search.

Shelling a enemy field undetected is a very fun part of this game.  Many new players and grieving fighter pilots do not understand this.  please players, try to understand how these task groups can be put to use.  Do not up off a cv before shelling is complete.  you spawning in and inviting enemy to fight is not defending, it is selfish suicide.

Its a real shame that players ignore this courtesy.  Most likely the same players who complain about hq, tip off missions, and spread the word of hate towards any gameplay with the word "bomb" in it.

most players understand the cv undercover techniques but a few do not and a few are but-heads looking for a fight.

For the wish list.

While agree it would be nice if players held off a launch when attacking a base, this has nothing to do with that.

The OP was mad that the lifter spoiled his easy kill of a strat.

Hey guys I want to take an arena asset and monopolize it for my own purposes.  I'm going to keep it to myself for hours, so please don't fly aircraft off of the aircraft carrier.  If a massive dogfight ensues, it'll wreck EVERYTHING!

Right?

What is this 'weeding out' process that would be undertaken if someone did this?  Send some guys?

I see the point and the frustration of the players planning a CV attack; shelling the town, then de-ack and troops.

Part of the problem: just about every time I've seen this happen, the guys planning the attack start screaming and demanding that the pilot stops. Only once have I heard someone ask politely and then explain why. The nube pilot bailed, apologized and then helped with the planned attack.

When I first started playing, some guys screamed at me for this. Because of their unreasonable reaction, I continued to take off, and even ignored and let bombers make it to the CV. I had no idea of their plan before they started yelling. I continued to take off in response to their d-head armchair general crap. That's probably what that guy did too.

Bottom line: take the high road, ask nicely, and explain what you're trying to do. You might be surprised by the result.

Who was it? Aside from the foul language, he deserves a beer. He played the game well within acceptable boundaries (both socially and from HTC) and pursued a fight.

I haven't commented much at all on the HQ stuff because I recognize that is fun for some. Why can't that sentiment be reciprocated?
