I see the point and the frustration of the players planning a CV attack; shelling the town, then de-ack and troops.
Part of the problem: just about every time I've seen this happen, the guys planning the attack start screaming and demanding that the pilot stops. Only once have I heard someone ask politely and then explain why. The nube pilot bailed, apologized and then helped with the planned attack.
When I first started playing, some guys screamed at me for this. Because of their unreasonable reaction, I continued to take off, and even ignored and let bombers make it to the CV. I had no idea of their plan before they started yelling. I continued to take off in response to their d-head armchair general crap. That's probably what that guy did too.
Bottom line: take the high road, ask nicely, and explain what you're trying to do. You might be surprised by the result.
