They could have a large blast so you have to stay back a bit to shoot them or get caught in the explosion.

This would make wing tipping an attractive alternative to shooting. It would be fun to try.

I imagine that V1's would be used as a much shorter range weapon than in real life. Perhaps at the end of visual, but likely not much further, since margin of error needed to accurately aim the weapon would rapidly decrease with distance. At 10 miles, arcminutes and arcseconds matter.

If we get it, there should be a "rocket view" where you can ride along and watch.

The same would be nice for bombs and torpedoes.

The way they do it somewhere else is you use a dot command to pick the range and heading.

Then you ride in it to the destination.

Once you have worked out the distances, you can be pretty accurate but I believe they needed to increase the blast radius quite a bit to make it work.

Scherf hit it on the head.   All this would be is one more thing to score points on without actually having to encounter another person at the controls.

Anything that continues to drive players to avoid combat is in my mind hurtful to gameplay overall.

Even if u have the direction and distance set 100% accurate, it takes 5 seconds to fly the distance of a factory, it mean u have that window to drop the rocket if u want to hit a factory area. (having fixed sites aimed at strats is so big no that we will not even discuss it..)
But with the very inaccurate maps we have its only luck if u manage to drop within the launch window.

Fire and forget is boring, especially when there's not really a target that falls withing its capabilities.  But a Fritz X on the other hand, and a Do-217 to launch it from...  Could be fun for anti shipping.

Fritz X could be fun, its prob very hard to guide and less accurate than the auto bomb sight but as a "stand off" weapon and possibility to compensate for turning CV:s it could be useful.

You don't fire and forget, you have to ride along to it's conclusion.

If u mean the fritz x it was radio controlled and had to be guided by the bombardier visually all the way to target. (If im not senile)

hi

i like it much, often wished it :-).

would be cool to lounch the v1 and relode the heinkel again, just to fire rockets against rockets to the enemy :-)).

i knew hiting anything is nearly unposible, but if it happens its fun hehe.

also the fighters will get a new enemy to kill.
