Hmmm kinda makes sense I guess. Was fiddling with an xbox 360 and flash drives and wondered if it would actually work

AH write to files , you do not want to have a slow unit doing that.
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

The last time I was studying IT last winter, the teachers tested whether some application could be run from a USB3 hard drive. Might have been Adobe Connect or something, anyway it was nothing too simple and lightweight. It worked. USB2 will definitely be too slow. Also, as Save said, there's lots of writing done.

Are you running out of hard disk space?

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

A flash drive is not a flash drive is not a flash drive. The ones with architecture that responds to read/writes fast enough to run programs will be prohibitively expensive and are not just your everyday "transfer files to other computers" jump drives.

You are better off running it off your internal hard drive.

The only thing I save to external hard drive is my skins, terrains, maps and settings.
