Bunch of friends and Purdue grads who live in Ohio quickly spoke up and against Bo Pelini.  Apparently he'd be a terrible hire and terrible person.  It ain't gunna happen even if its true he's interested.

I agree that Bo Pelini would not be a good fit for the Purdue program. I think Bo Pelini is a good person and a good coach. The media just likes to overstate his brash and fiery personality and paint him out to be the bad guy. I'm still somewhat disappointed that Nebraska fired him. Don't get me wrong, Mike Riley is a decent coach (they're 6-0 this year as of this post), but I felt that Pelini could have used some more time in the program. That being said, I'd like to see Pelini back in the FBS Division 1 coaching ranks in the near future.

Unranked Penn state beats #2 Ohio State?
Yeah, we saw those glass slippers out here on Ohio State this year.

Well.. this is awkward Hajo.  I was sincerely hoping for a Bama/OSU matchup in the CFP.

ammo still holds a grudge from when Meyer ruled the SEC at UF.  But I have to admit, I was rooting for PSU.

Rip! You  are so right!  I was greatly disappointed.  They looked tentative.  Yes they are young but when you outgain, and have ball possession on your side you should win.

This effectively knocks OSU out of the picture.  Michigan will move up to probably number 2 and well deserved by the way.  To lose to an unranked opponent like Penn State

effectively finishes your season.  Alabama is number one without any question.  They handled A&M.  Ohio States talent at this point just doesn't match up to lofty expectations.

JT Barret looked like a Deer caught in headlights.  And why oh why Ohio state why aren't you using Curtis Samuels more??

Now all I have to root for is my Cleveland Indians in the world series.  Against the cubs?   Oh boy will take a miracle.

It was a strange day of college football.  Not only the Ohio State game, but Auburn annihilated Arkansas, and Houston lost bigly to SMU.  Colorado beat Stanford, too.

There's still lots of football left in the year, but Washington seems definitely a potential now for the final four.

HAJO knows I am a fan of him.

Everyone here but me is wanting and waiting for Bama to drop a game - this a very real possibility against LSU and/or Auburn.  Both of these teams improve every week.  Auburn destroyed the piggies who put 30 up against Bama.

I was hoping for a Bama/OSU rematch in the CFP. Bama needs to simply keep winning one game at a time and get there.  Then we can quit speculating and see matchups between the Nation's best teams.

Huskies and Wolverines look awesome.  WV is proving they are a contender.

Lastly- it was good to see Penn St pull that off.  I have the utmost respect for that program and hated to see what happened to it.

The A&M game was disappointing. Too many mistakes. Hated that missed targeting call too.

Player running with the ball is not defenseless.

FTR, I think the new targeting rule is stupid.  Players should keep their heads on a swivel.
