Rip! You  are so right!  I was greatly disappointed.  They looked tentative.  Yes they are young but when you outgain, and have ball possession on your side you should win.

This effectively knocks OSU out of the picture.  Michigan will move up to probably number 2 and well deserved by the way.  To lose to an unranked opponent like Penn State

effectively finishes your season.  Alabama is number one without any question.  They handled A&M.  Ohio States talent at this point just doesn't match up to lofty expectations.

JT Barret looked like a Deer caught in headlights.  And why oh why Ohio state why aren't you using Curtis Samuels more??

Now all I have to root for is my Cleveland Indians in the world series.  Against the cubs?   Oh boy will take a miracle.

FTR, I think the new targeting rule is stupid.  Players should keep their heads on a swivel.

The rule is to protect people from concussion. It was not used in this instance where it had been in others.

Targeting in college is any hit to the head or neck area. Targeting a defenseless player is one not running with the ball yet and leading with the helmet.  A qb is protected under the slide rule.  Unnecessary roughness is not far away.  It boils down to, is it dangerous in the judges eyes.

I was shocked at Au vs Ark game BUT WAR EAGLE!!!

Yeah, we were absolutely dumbfounded. Just kept asking myself "wha-, what happened???" Defense getting gutted on the run, offense letting the ball carrier get popped in the backfield... disaster.

By contrast, this made my weekend (...well...together with the Eagles beating the Vikings).  PSU was my undergrad alma mater, OSU my growing-up town and post-grad degree.  Any time OSU gets beat (except by Michigan), an angel gets his wings, says I.  ESPECIALLY when it's by Penn State.

LOL in the game between Penn State and Michigan a Penn st. lb was called for targeting when he went for an interception during which his shoulder pad makes contact with the helmet of a diving Michigan receiver. I'm just a miserable Tennessee fan but Ohio state should not be in the top ten.. sorry no bias here. You lose to a unranked team you need to go!  Don't get me started on some of the top 5 schools strength of schedule

any team that has lost this year did not drop much in the rankings look at ole miss they had 3 losses and was ranked 23 wisconsin with 2 losses is top ten. as an ohio state fan watching that penn state game was like watching the MSU game last year our offense is not running in an urban style once again he like a up tempo offense and we are not running that for what ever reason again we lost last year went back to up tempo and did not lose again something is not right using all the play clock again before each snap using time outs so we dont get delay of game alot of work needs to be done oh and just like the loss to MSU last year zeke had little action that game well the loss to PSU saturday curtis had little playing time. this new coordinator is no tom herman by a long shot urban needs to be involved more in the offense again or we are doomed

Bingo!  in the name of safety and "concussions" spawned by the MSM, this rule was enacted.  Yes, there have been some serious injuries and the reaction by the NFL and NCAA is overkill.


We are witnessing the glorification of the NFL and the NCAA has started to follow suit.  I reject it whole-heartedly.


To your observation that somehow the lack of a targeting call against Bama vectored the game in Bama's favor and an ultimate victory - I disagree.  Bama was the better team last Saturday.  tAm played well in the second qtr though and Bama looked asleep at the wheel for that period.  In Saban fashion, the team adjusted and responded in the second half.  If there was a penalty that pushed a shift in momentum, it was the hands to the facemask of Hurts in the 3rd.


Having said that, I give respect to the Aggies. Sumlin has made them a great team and a true contender in the SEC.
