Quality loss at its best with A&M.  Considering that Texas almost lost to tennessee its hard to see them in the top teams..

Add to this that they say "Strength of schedule" is why the Huskies are #5, yet in week 2, 2 of the teams that Huskies annihilated were a #7 team (Stanford) and a #24 team (Oregon).
Texas AM wasn't even ranked in the top 25.

Yeah, strength of schedule. Sheesh! What a lousy excuse.

I would not to get sucked into the media but...if the season was over now (what rankings should account for), Washington should be 4.  A n M lost.  Having opinions overshadow game results should not happen.  The idea of picking the "best" team should not trump results.  That said, the season is not over, therfore ranking are not much more than media hype.

Again, lots' of good games today.  LSU vs. Alabama was a fine game to watch.  Navy, and I keep on saying this but it is true.  If you've never practiced defending the triple option

you're in trouble.  I for the life of me can't understand what happened at Michigan State and Notre Dame.  I know MSU has a new quarterback but their normally great defense has

taken a vacation.  Notre Dame is lost.  I don't think the Coach knows what is wrong.  Anyone think NDs' Coach will be fired at the end of the year?

I'm at a loss as well.  Michigan State showed some high quality at times vs. Michigan.  It almost seemed like maybe they could be good but just had some weird stuff happen.  I don't know how they went from so good last year to the record they have this year.  They lost some good players at end of last year, but they still have many really good players.  They have a great coach.  What is going on?  I don't know.  Could just be a horrible fluctuation for them, or maybe some key injuries and no depth?  Like flipping 50 coins and getting all tails.  Usually that means your coin is bad, but it is possible that if you flip enough coins, eventually that happens even with a good coin.

I wonder if Notre Dame will get a new coach, too.

Also, Iowa was surprising to me this year.
