A&M defense could not get going and we miss Garret. QB got hurt on first TD. Just bad all around.

Sucks to see injuries. I know all about them haha. Big tennesssee fan.  Me and my buddies drove all the way out there to watch the game a couple weeks ago.

Also, Iowa was surprising to me this year.

I'm not at all surprised with Iowa this year. Iowa is a mediocre football program coached by an overpaid mediocre coach in Kirk Ferentz. The only good thing they got going for them is they get a few players drafted in the NFL. Frankly, Iowa is paying way too much money on him. But I guess the university, their fans, and alumni don't mind being average year in and year out. The B1G Coach of the Year award is also a B1G fat joke too. With as many times as he has won that award, it is basically a consolation prize for being average. Not to mention he embarrassed himself, his football program, and the conference after getting bent over and a surprise butt-reaming by Stanford and Christian McCaffrey in last year's Rose Bowl.

The Tide looked great last weekend.  That defense.  The only folks pulling for the Tide is Tide fans.  No one wants to see Bama win a fifth NC in the last 8 years.. except Bama fans.

That's actually rare anymore.  Used to be many Auburn and Alabama fans pulled for the other team until that last weekend in November.  There were always a few that hated the other team, and nowadays the interwebs has created an environment where it's easy to sit behind a keyboard and state things they would never say to someone in their presence.

I am one that pulls for Auburn mostly.. until that game.  Now, I can't pull for the Volunteers under any circumstance, but there are reasons for that:)

Again a great football weekend.  Result....Alabama still the best in the country.  Upsets, Michigan to an unranked Iowa, Washington to USC and Clemson to Pitt.  WOW!

This changes the scene entirely.  Ohio State at 5 should move up.  Strength with wins AT Oklahoma and AT Wisconsin.  Only loss to a now ranked #10 (Saturday) Penn State team. And a win over Nebraska at home.

USC surprised me to say the least.  There are two games to go, and anything can happen but at this point I don't see anyone on horizon to beat Alabama in the playoffs.

This is just an observation on point and I am going to ask a question of all of you.  Since the SEC s' power is based in the west only Alabama and the SEC is a bunch of also rans.  Is it me or is the BIG

the toughest conference in the nation now?  Consider this.  I can see Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State and even Nebraska ranked in the top 10. I am a BIG fan as you know, but I am also a

College football fan foremost.  Is it possible that the over all talent has slipped in the SEC.  Ole Miss, Miss St etc. have fallen off drastically.  The BIG west conference includes Wisconsin and Nebraska.

The PAC has some good football teams also but at this time since Washington fell the entire PAC  I believe only Washington, Colorado, USC Stanford and maybe Washington St. are ranked but most of them

in the bottom half of the top 15.  Now the ACC.  Syracuse is very good and so is Clemson.  I have no idea how they will be ranked because Clemson defeated Syracuse.  It appears that the PAC has equaled the

quality or at least narrowed the gap between the PAC and the SEC.  I am asking this as a fan.  This is believe it or not an impartial question.  Please if you answer give as best an impartial answer as you can.

Give it an honest try.  I'm asking an honest question.  Not a fanboi question.  Just an impartial question.

Too bad that the Gophers lost to Nebraska.  A win would have likely made the final game of the season between the longest running rivals in NCAA Div I football; Minnesota vs Wisconsin (124 games played) for the B10 West division title.  It could still happen.

Go Gophers!

Oh... BTW... Someone's going to draft Mitch Leidner.

Oh, the horror!  :cry

I was watching the Clemson game and rooting for Pitt to win, so that Ohio State would get into the top 4.  (I wanted Michigan and Ohio State in there.)

Then Washington fell.

Then Michigan.

Egads.

Watching the Michigan vs. Iowa game, I kept wondering what was up with Michigan's offense.  The defense was still quite good.

Iowa played good enough up front.  The lack of connection in the passing game limited points and first downs.  Good news is, if everybody wins next week it is still all about The Game.  Michigan plays Indiana, And OSU goes to East Lansing.  both teams need to play their best.  The first big storm of the year will arrive Saturday.  Expect high winds and dropping temperatures as light rain turns to snow.  :x
