1. - the real photo was taken to the right of center at an angle aiming at the center meeting post for the two windscreens.
2. - you don't see angles do you.
3. - gunsight is shifted 3 inches to the center because the left side of the real gunsight was on the center vertical windscreen line.
4. - you don't do much WW2 research for a game that prides itself on certain levels of authentic form.
Researching the authentic reticle pattern AAF Mark 8 for the P47, I found this photo of what the pilot's view really was for the Razorback. I suspect the original HTC artist only had external looking in from the outside of the canopy pictures to make his best guess on the armored plate shape and mounting. It's not like I'm asking Waffle to change the 3D shape of the D11 to make the sides of the canopy angle narrower to a rounder top like real life. The width of the original rectangular rendered bullet proof glass is how wide the top of the canopy should be below the rounded cover. And then the MKII gunsight in the new Hurri is the correct size to fit in there.
Just using the existing modeling to get closer to the real life picture.
