Well I fought and lost to most of them and many more. They were much better than me. That didn't I never won; but it wasn't even by any means.

Then again you're better than me too. If you can hold your own against the best today then you would hold your own against the best of yesterday. Maybe not for the first half hour, but after you figured out their style anyway.
here the real secret. The best sticks mix up the style and keep you guessing. The hard part is reading what you think they're about to do and counter to or ready for it.

I still have a ways to go. Wish I started way back when I was a simpleton who just took bases :police:

Too add to that...the person I really want to fight is m00t 1v1 in TA152s...he is that name everyone talks about in 152s...just want to see where I stack up.

I fought all of them too and to certain degree you are right ... Drex and Levi were at a whole different level not because they could kill with ease it was the could kill with ease in just about any ride. If you ever want to see a film that will cause you jaw to drop was Drex spankin multiples in a JU-88 ... just incredible. Levi in a Spit V was just devastating despite the poor ammo load out.

This is no way I'm trying to discredit the likes of Junky, Moot, JOACH1M, etc. and the generation following Drex, Levi, Morpheus, Shane, Lephturn (P-47), CrowMAW, IceMAW, Toad, ... too many to mention

As long as there is a new crowd that carries the torch for "the fight" and inspires others to fight ... it's all about the fight.

He's a good fight in a Hellcat.  Another good Hellcat pilot was this dweeb called Slapshot but I haven't seen him in the arenas in awhile.

There's plenty of people who have manhandled me badly.  Greebo, MtnMan, Grizz, Fester, plenty of others.

My favorite Greebo memory is one day I was trying to BnZ him on the deck in my P47.  I was making my second or third pass being fairly aggressive, and it looked to me like he slipped my pass by staying flying straight and level, but throttled back.  That's all he did, and at the vertical angle I was coming in from at about 8 o'clock, I couldn't get the shot.  I think he tagged me on the way out too.

My rivals are also the red guys.

Wiley.

Even if you could fly it like M00t there is still one, glaring problem.

You can't lob taters as well. He was lethal at almost every angle. (When Grizz worships your tater tossing you must be pretty good and he loved M00t's).

Dodger, Sunsfan, and most notably, JUGgler...who was the most underrated airman in this thread.  He'd out fly 99% of the folks...he just couldn't hit a whiff if he was shooting at crap.

Speaking of the early days, Drex IMO was the best all round fighter, Cit/Fester was fantastic back then too (still is), but IMO Levi was the one that would make you shake your head and wonder "wtf" more than anyone else.  Not just from fighting him, but just observing him while on his team - getting into the swarms of umpteen on 1s that he would, and how he would not only eventually get out alive, but do so after killing most of the red dots near him.  The Spit5 with 240rnds back then = a lot of double digit landings for Leviathn.  His little pixie avatar was always disturbing though...

Mathman was incredible in that thing.   Back in 2003-2005, I would wing both Engine and Mathman in Hellcats.  The knowledge gained was most excellent.
