If you can come up with a way to ...

With a large delay, that info is moot.

I am not sure, however, how someone who doesn't know the game will be exposed to the live stream....

Like Youtube, Twitch has search functionality where you can put in terms like "wwii", "flight", etc.  More importantly, though, Twitch shows at any given time the games have a live stream going.  Some folks scroll through that list and take a quick look at games they haven't seen before.

Have you considered building a viewer base by perhaps live streaming action from the Main Arena...

If I played much in the MA, I would probably do some of that.  Almost all of my time in AH these days, though, is in Scenarios, which is my passion.  To me, footage of normal gaming areas in any game isn't all that interesting, but footage of some very special event and large special battle in any game is vastly more interesting.  However, mainly, as it is practically no effort or time on my part to try it, it's faster and easier to try it and see.

I'm not saying yay or nay but one thing about youtube video is that you can post it on related pages in facebook for example. There are many warbirds and war history groups that don't mind if posting a video of this type. And given the target group, many potential new pilots get to see it as well. I'd only add the information of the event and the game and proper links on to it.

Now come to think of it. Someone ought to cut a neat video of the event just for this purpose!

That's good, too.

But I'm not proposing that folks do only Youtube or only streaming.

Doing Youtube is good, too.

Mostly what I was pondering was, is there a way around security issues?

And it turns out, yes -- introduce a long delay.  That is a great solution.

Concerned that I will, or concerned that I won't?

If you do stream it, set the game title to War Thunder. More people will be inclined to check it out, and possibly even download Aces High.

I'm on Twitch daily and sometimes stream myself.

Excellent, but . . .

Where the heck are you in the Scenario registration for 109's, Herr Krupinski?

This for sure....if you search Aces High on Twitch you find only a few past broadcasts....I would even consider streaming it under World of Tanks and make sure you put the delay length in the title or people will get mad at you up in the chat. "Can we get some 1Gs up in the chat"

That's the wonderful thing about Twitch, it saves your past broadcasts so you can upload the whole thing, or just the highlights directly to Youtube.

Sorry Brooke, been away from flight sims for a few months & not quite ready to come back yet. I hope you guys get some good action.  :salute

The way I see it, ROC's still got a valid point about comms.  People could be talking about stuff that's going to happen later than your delay.  That could be a fairly significant issue.

Wiley.
If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

Exactly my point.  I do not want those conversations out in public while the event is underway.  30 minutes before a phase of an attack occurs, it's going to be talked about in game as we adapt to the actual conditions of the battle and some clever op.  If at all, One Hour Delay, No Comms, No Map View of who is where, no intel.  This reminds me of the embedded media in today's battles discussing troop movements on the news.   I get the promotional angle, great, good idea, just not when it comes to publishing battle plans ;)  Block that, then have a blast.
ROC
Nothing clever here.  Please, move along.
