Lyric,In one of your links we see "REGGIE'S REPLY" on Godfrey's P-47. Do we have anything that shows it on his P-51B?
No nothing online looking at some of my books to see if anything may be tucked away in them.
http://www.starduststudios.com/john-t-godfrey.htmlHe is one of the best P-51 artists out there, I have never saw anything incorrect in any of his paintings.
The red looks ok to me. Try the red I recommended for the fuel caps and see how that strikes your fancy. The problem with all the primary colors is that is too easy to use a hue which is too bold. Your red is not too bad in this regard.
The fuel caps look better, but the fuel stain behind it still looks odd.did you adjust anything else?
What about other planes in the group? Can you find photo's of them?
