From what I saw on the news yesterday, I thought they were referring to their vehicles

That is what I thought until the vortex narrowed and immediately went back to its previous size.   The funniest part is the idiot filming pointing out the heavy equipment trailer in the road like Helen Hunt in Twister....

That is not CGI.    They were not the brightest bulbs of the bunch, but it is real.

Thank goodness for youtube because i never want to see that in person.  Those guys filming are slightly insane and stupid.

The power of the tornado is fearful and mesmerizing at the same time.

What a group of utter complete unadulterated morons. They gave themselves no wiggle room for escape should that thing have turned on them. Next time, they'll be in the obituaries.

There is a fine line between stupidity and courage as seen here.

I watched live on KFOR last evening, they have the best live images from helicopter and the weather anchor ,Mike Morgan knows to explain what's going on.
More tornadoes today in Illinois/Tennessee; and here in Texas are storms exploding west of I-35,   severe Tstorm warning only, but doesn't look good.

I knew that voice sounded familiar.   So his wife was driving and they are both meteorologists.   So maybe their vehicle was running out of gas after all.   That looks like an EF2,

Have storm chasers ever bothered to get close to the big boys? Ef4's or 5's? Definitely not this close but close enough to call it close.
