First: My apology's to Chilli.... :salute

Hitech I just took a screen shot. When I went into that directory to preview it, all screenshots in that directory were in the same condition as Chilli's posted screen shot. The other screen shots were carried over from 7/1/2016 in a DX11 session and none of them had this problem before today when I took today's screen shot. Then I started the DX9 version of the game and took the same screen shot. It shows up correctly when previewed inside of the same directory next to the DX11 screen shots. I'm viewing with the Win7 preview pane in the file manager.

I Believe it has been reported earlier but it's impossible to launch a Storch from the hangar at airfields, as soon as it starts to move it crash seemingly into the roof and you die. tried other bombers like the Lancaster and it works fine.

I just took an alt-S screenshot with the DX11 version online in Crater from the tower, mine looks normal.

The normal-looking shot I posted was with DX9 (I get lower frame rates with DX11), so I tried again with DX11 and I do see some of what ChiLLi's shows (although not as much, probably because of different graphics settings). But oddly, I only see it with Windows Photo Viewer. If I open the files with a graphics editor (PaintShop Pro), it looks normal.

I uninstalled beta29 and reinstalled. Did a screen shot, same results, and the only application the bitmap showed correctly in was Photoshop.

Condor, Bizman and I all stated AH3 dx11 will not run but so far no response from anyone including Hitech.

I uninstalled all Betas and alphas then tried reinstalling Beta from the forums and the Homepage without success. Anyone new looking into this game will be discouraged from ever trying the game again. Any help would be appreciated.   :headscratch:

I did notice now that Hitech in current issues added "missing vcomp120.dll " to next patch so maybe that will fix it.

Slate,

Good that you picked up on the post from HiTech about the problem being patched in 30.  Also, this does not affect DX9 version, so I assume that most newcomers would not be aware of the missing dll.

What is more important is something that I learned the hard way, to try and replicate any suspected bugs and then report them in the current "Released:  Issues/Bug Reports" instead of working around it.  When I tried to find a work around for the missing dll notice, I disqualified my system from ever catching the bug again.

A few things to keep in mind.

This is a BETA test. Please do not compare our current Beta to other companies finished products. What you see now may be completely different in the final release.

You are here to help us create a product. We are not here to support the product on your system. Our goal is to fix bugs and complete Aces High, not to get the current Beta release working on your system. When you run into issues please try think about how to recreate it verses simply trying to work around it.

We will have different priorities than yours. Things you may think are major issues may be something we plan on addressing at a later time. An example of this was a stutter issue with one of the Alpha releases. It was a nuisance, for some people, but it really did not stop the Alpha from going forward, and hence I didn't spend much time trying to isolate the issue.

Be sure you install the Beta into a different folder than your current game folder.

Please post all issues/bugs, with the Beta, in this forum only, and in the thread labeled matching the version of the release.

Thanks for your help to complete Aces High III.

All,
Just got back from a long brake from AH.... downloaded both the DX9/DX11 versions,
Frame rates are 60FPSin DX9 settings maxed out (Vsync on) 200 + (Vsync off)
However in DX11 no matter what settings, Vsync on /off FPS are 30...

System:
Win10 64bit
I7 6700 4GHz
32GB DDR 4 3300
ATI R9 390 8GB Gaming Crimson 16.3.2 Drivers.

PS HiTech is still a DWEEB!

Hi Heater,

Welcome back!

I see that you are using Crimson 16.3.2 drivers.

Try this to see if the FPS comes up in Beta 29 Dx11 version:

Go into Radeon Settings, Gaming, Global settings and disable the Power Efficiency setting then retry Beta 29 Dx11 again and see if the FPS does improve.

I've witnessed this on my box as well. Since you're using an AMD R9 390 vid card that setting should be enabled by default.....unless you've already disabled it.

Thanks for the response!

Now I know that this affects the Grenada (Hawaii as well) GPU's as well as it does Fiji GPU's so I don't need to install my R9 290X to find this out.......................... .

Glad this helped you out!
