It appears that fighters and bombers can fly their wing through trees and objects unscathed until some point closer to the fuselage is touched by an external object. Discovered this taxiing the storch out of a fighter hanger and watching the wing pass through a tree. So I tested a few fighters and bombers on trees, radar towers and hangers. Flew down the side of a bomber hanger with my wing in it. Wrecked when I go to the end with the door out at a 90 degree. I also tested scraping a wing into long rows of low trees. If this stays unchanged, it is possible a skillful player can finesse it to cause others to crash to save himself.

Ran Updater Beta Patch 29 to 30 w\o a hitch.

Both Beta 30 Dx9 and Dx11 versions opened and exited just fine w\o issues.

Ran Beta 30 Dx11 version w\ AMD Power Efficiency setting enabled (default) and still get the low FPS (41-44 at tower, 47-54 in game) and graphics loping motion due to excessive power cutting to GPU due to low GPU clocks @ 450-650 Mhz range under game load.
Ran Beta 30 Dx11 version w\ AMD Power Efficiency setting disabled and Beta runs fine w\ FPS in tower around 47-54, 79-80 (AMD FRTC set) in game w\ smooth graphics motion and GPU clocks at @ 1050 Mhz (full stock clocks).

Continuing testing...............

Waffle is sneaky.....we just tested the bridges in TT on CraterMA as runways for landing GV supplys. If you have control of that area, storches can fly in if M3's are cut off.

Also I tested an LVT4 for entering and exiting water. Enters without a hitch, then discriminates between steep and shallow slopes.

I was trying to exit on the point beach past the map room at a port. There is a steep 20 degree up slope and to it's left a shallower beach. On the up slope the LVT came to a rest, spun it's treds and accepted steering slowly to the side. Eventually it slipped back into the water resuming steerage headway. The sound of the engine in the water got stuck playing back the sound of the transmission stuck between gears. When the LVT came to the lower angled slope of the small beach to the left of the high angled beach, the LVT exited the water without a hitch and the driving sounds resumed.

It wasn't kidding, it doesn't show. I'll move stuff around and see if a full install will work without all the test stuff.

Oh, the DX9 version is fine. I haven't tested the editors yet.
Easy in-game again.

1. Icons:

Offline mode - Enemy icons go bright and dim as if they are going in and out of shadow. Like the plane itself is blocking the sun to make the icon dim. Not sure if this is intended to be that way or not.

Online mode - Unknown to me at this point haven't seen an icon yet.

2. Screenshots:

Attached a screenshot of the icon issue but screenshots have an issue of their own.

Attached a windows print screen from this pc which appears normal.

3. Trees:

Online and Offline mode - After entering and exiting an arena or offline practice, then entering another arena or offline practice after only going back to the arena selection or opening screen, the tree limbs and leaves do not move. Everything else appears to move in the wind as expected. Quitting completely out of the game resets this behavior.

Was having trouble downloading Beta but paid attention to note:

Note, we have had many reports of Avira, Avast, Norton, and Kaspersky false triggering on the patch files as well as the entire Beta installation file.  Either include the file name in the ignore list of your anti-virus, or disable your anti-virus before updating/installing to mitigate the false triggers.

I'm running MSSE antivirus and had to make an exception for AHBETA030.exe     Now I'm good to go.  :aok

I see the same on line in DX11 and DX9. Sometimes icons and ranges almost fade out completely at ranges as close as 1.5
Balrog in game. Some day my performance may justify the name. LOL

I accidently destroyed town buildings after we had just captured a56.  Not sure if its a feature but may make it easy for a spy to take down friendly towns without flashing them and have a buddy come in with troops.  :headscratch:

....also spawned an lvt feet dry there and had a tree inside me that pinned me there.

Radar enemy planes on map don't line up with friendly fleet when dropping bombs they are offset but still will hit

:x  getting excited because AH3 is coming together nicely, it will be epic.  :joystick:

Easier to bug test.  Everything although set up like an actual game arena, is for the expressed purpose of testing.  So, you can destroy friendly objects and shoot friendlies.  You can even put friendly troops in your own maproom, and they will hold a white flagged town for 30 minutes.

The latter, I think is kind of cool.

Tested 30 with rift cv1

1 launch buttons only work in tower view

2 clipboard is way to close to eyes and can't be moved out far enough

3 still cannot resize the text window. Every time I try the click hold and drag it gets bigger. For VR maybe left click for bigger, right click for smaller.

4 in tank couldn't read the range numbers when in the main gun sight

5 water issue corrected.

6 my zoom button which has worked for years is now backwards. Why not just change the label and not the function. Most folks would have figured out it was reversed and programmed buttons accordingly.

ALT-Tab freezes the game.  Hitting Alt-Tab a second time returns to game action, a third time takes me to the desktop.

Using the .Target command, no bullet holes appear in target, though I do see hit flashes.

I get two cursor arrows in the DX11 version - I see the game cursor arrow but also my windows cursor.  I took a couple of screenshots of this but the Windows cursor doesn't show up.  When I try to exit, the game freezes and I have to shut it down with Task Manager.

DX9 appeared to be OK though.

Updated AMD drivers yesterday, but when I chose custom install (leaving out Raptor and some other apps) it failed the installation.  I went to AMD's support site and installed the latest Win7 64-nit crimson drivers, and let it install everything.   Install went OK for Radeon 16.3.2 drivers, however device manager shows install driver as 16.200.1035.1001
