As long as the pilot's eyes are locked inside of the airplane, maybe. This airplane had some pretty high loss rates and never was a fighter.

Most of the loss rate of A-26s were due to mechanical failures and AAA, not from enemy fighters.

Oh, I'm well aware. The P-51 squadrons lost all but one of the top aces that way.

There are other planes more relevant to WWII than the A26

But A-26 entered service so late that the threat from enemy fighters were close to non existent.

Yep.  One of the first A-26 squadrons in the ETO only saw a couple of Luftwaffe planes during their tour because it was so late in the war, that like you said, enemy fighters were almost non-existent.  It's also why the A-26 had so little kills attributed to it during the war.
