you might rather give it a shot and then speak up if you have any issues.  It's pretty straight forward.

I can tell you don't look up and back and then turn really hard or you're not going to feel very good. Most of that will pass fairly quickly.

Also, you might go ahead and map a hatswitch for the rear view. It'll help to make you not as ill feeling and keep some SA.

In the Oculus program in settings/general check allow unknown sources. Map a button to tracker center.

Use the lens spacing feature often until you get used to it to make sure the headset is aligned for the best picture. You don't have to reset the spacing, just check the headset position.

Leave space around your nose for ventilation and peeking at the keyboard.

Forgot to mention, the headset forces power savings on the usb hub it's plugged into. You may need your controllers and the rift sensor plugged into a different usb hub.

Ok, it's here, it's hooked up and it's o my god freaking awesome. Some questions, help PLEASE.
1. Can't see text buffer, it's too small, how to enlarge it? I can move it, but can't enlarge.
2. MOST IMPORTANT; My mic is on a logitech usb headset. can I use it? How?
There's gonna be some nausea at first, but it seems I'll get used to this, and it's better than I ever expected.
Now for the virtual porn, hehehehehe

Very carefully, as sometimes it will jump up and get stuck to the ceiling. I understand grabbing it from the bottom helps.
when you have your dot on the edge of the message box you should see it change to updown arrow, you can then resize...(like i said try from the bottom) and same with sideways. If you really screw it up it can be reset so don't get worried. We've all gone thorugh it.  :aok

There is a MIC built into the Rift.  You will be able to talk and listen through it.

The mic built into the Rift headset works well. If you want to use different headphones and mic just remove the rift earphones with the special tool and select the unit you want to use in the AH sound preferences.

To use the Rift mic you may need to select it in windows sound recording properties.

You may want to pick up some candied ginger at the grocery store. The Dr1 is a good nausea test.

Not at all. You have to physically adjust for it, probably the same way if you were really in the plane. It is EFFING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! How does one adjust position in the cockpit? I can't see the sight pipper.

Map a button to tracker center. It's in the view list in AH controller mapping.

Coppr, the radio/comms window issues in VR are known to HT, he's already posted in another thread I made about this in tech support that he's working on it.  For now, you can take the Rift off of your head and use the mouse/desktop to drag the vox/comms/radio boxes around and resize them, if you go look in that forum you'll see the thread and the fixes HT and others have suggested until he gets to it.

Glad you like your Rift, pretty much the reaction we have come to expect, what you posted.  It's pretty amazing, especially considering it's very early days for VR in this game, yet such an incredible experience already.

Zack, the experience is worth every freaking penny, I give you my word. There is no describing it. I just got through fighting a 190D in my Ki84...he could not lose me. It was unreal. It has made the game more fun than ever before. This is the experience I have always wanted, I feel almost as if I'm really in the plane.
I have to get the sensor at the perfect level, that is what's effecting my pipper. Once it's right, my aim will improve. I owned the 190, but couldn't hit it.
HiTech, thank you for adding this to the game.
