Clipboard Film Viewer Link
« on: October 17, 2016, 01:59:21 PM »
I think it would be helpful to have a clipboard film viewer link. This will make it easier to find for new users and VR users.

It would shut down AH3 before launching the film viewer so people wouldn't try to run both at once.

Ideally it would open the film viewer and the films folder in the viewer.

How often do you have new members have a problem with this? Asking because I feel like most people who find AH tend to be competent enough to use a desktop app with a folder button on it for finding the films. Do you have a different experience with new players?

How would you find it in VR?

Not finding the film viewer and trying to run it when AH is running are both actual problems.

I have no VR experience so that's why I asked about new players(are most new players using VR?)

Opening the film viewer while running Aces High just closes Aces High if I remember correctly(Aces High has stopped working message???) Do you want Aces High to be able to run while the film viewer is running?

Many users do not know what the start menu is. Go look at the questions on "How do I run the DX9 version".

That wouldn't stop anything FLS. You would be better off just creating a YouTube series on little things like that for new users.

DOH! Oh, wait! Wish granted!
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Any new players coming from Oculus are going to be looking at options on the clipboard. You can't count on them being on the forum or looking at youtube or digging into the file folders.
