Guess that's a no on it being changed in this release.
it's an annoyance, one that's small granted, but an annoyance none the less for experienced players. From comments in game, however, almost game breaking for brand new players though.
I'd say it's one of those things that in the grand scheme of the challenges faced by the HT and team, is small potatoes.
I would caution the devs on under-estimating this as an issue worth addressing. We wouldn't want something like this to cause undue frustration to a new player; I remember first joining the game and being completely buried by the complexities of the game. To have the excitement of finally getting moving in a cartoon plane only to (in most cases) not even see the building that you just ran into, and being placed back into tower can be the type of "first experience" that sullies players from subscribing beyond initial trials. Furthermore, having the piercing doubt of "did I do something wrong!? Did someone shoot be down!? and initially not understanding what even happened can be very discouraging/disheartening.
My point is, I'd hate for something so silly to cause players to make negative judgement about the rest of the game based on 1 or 2 "auto-takeoffs". . .
