Attention Pilots of No. 71 Squadron RAF.
All pilots are to return to RAF Martlesham Heath for alert status. No 11 Group command is reporting a large enemy force which appears to be building up over Calais for a raid today. Target unknown. Red & Green Section are on alert, with the Blue and Yellow Sections standing by.
There is tea and biscuits in the hut, as well as coffee to help rid of the hangovers.
Make sure your batman has your chute laid out in your bird prior to scramble.
New pilots are instructed to wing with their leads and to stick to them like crumbs on Goering's shirt.
Until we are scrambled rest, eat some food, and just relax.
Weather:
Clouds: 3/10, mostly sunny with scattered cumulus clouds at 15,000 feet
Winds: 15-20mph winds at 15,000 feet, 35-45 mph gust above 20,000. Winds will be blowing from the W/NW. Should give us a decent push to France, but a drag back.
Had some showers last night, so watch your approach back from France. Don't stick your craft too hard. Otherwise you could cartwheel, or end upside down in a ditch.
That is all.
On a serious note join us tonight in the AvA arean at 9:00 Pm EST. We will be flying a staged mission representing No. 71 Squadron RAF.
More info can be found out by pming myself, Jimson, Devil505, Jaegar1, just to name a few.
