Knowing that changes to the game like the transmission come after a long time of Hitech observing the function. And Changes to that change can be one of two things. First, almost overnight because it had some disparate impact on all players or second, over a long time again of observing it.

I never understood what about the way the old manual transmission functioned was observed to need the new automatic transmission replacement. I mostly ignored any negatives with the change and did my best to work with what it allowed me to do. I was always curious why the change was made to understand the benefits over the manual transmission.

Note: Not being a hard core GVer, I make no claim to understanding the problems with the automatic transmission.

Since both manual & automatic transmissions have been in the game, why not make a player option?
It seems to be ruffling some feathers.

Because the 2 systems are not very compatible.

And there is no advantage to a manual transmission. The video shown is simply operator error. One key tap would have kept it in the lower gear at hi revs.

And I thought is would be a 'simple fix'.  lol
Didn't know they didn't play well together.

I was testing walls on a terrain to keep tanks from getting above and behind a base that I only wanted the front exposed to enemy tanks. First I put in a 500ft vertical wall cul-de-sac around the base. The 500ft wall angle was at 70 degrees. My panther went up the wall and out on the top. I never touched the transmission since I was testing for the most common condition a player would approach it in the MA. I also didn't try to traverse the face at any time or stop then restart.

I ended up with 1600-2000ft cliffs before the panther was stopped.

Not sure what you guys are doing to get these problems, I didn't experience any of them testing that cliff.

I believe the error like HT stated is user like I did in my video as I wasn't aware that you could just tap the back key and get it to stop just like everyone else who posted here for the most part. I'm sure maybe that this info was posted somewhere but I haven't seen it before.
