please fix dar bars

Can we also get details as to how the dar bar works?

At what alt do you show up as an icon inside a radar circle, at what alt do you show up as a block on the dar bar?  How many planes per block of dar bar?

Alts are shown in the Options/Arena Settings /System Variables

Full bar = 10 or more,
Bar are  incremented in steps of 2 planes, I.E. one or 2 planes shows the same on sector counter I.E. "dar bar"

Thanks, every time I've asked I get a different answer in the game.  For those wondering, current MA is set to the following:

Under radar: 65ft
Under dar bar: 250ft

I think found the bug, it is not a new one. At least I know I found 1 relating to Sector Counters.

Has to do with distant planers not always updating there Below Counter status.

On a related issue.........

I have noted over the years that my darbar update is considerably and consistently later than that enjoyed by (at least some) others. By this I mean by many seconds (10-20 possibly more). One fellow squad member always updates darbars before me this way.

Indeed when playing scenarios I always ask him to advise me of darbar fluctuation over radio as he sees it so much earlier then me and its quicker than waiting for my FE to update.

Could this be a similar bug???

The refresh, does it go by when the person logged in, or something like alphabetically or some hidden player ID?  I've noticed at different times I am sometimes ahead, sometimes behind what squaddies are seeing.

On the original request for film, I only found one with a bardar related title, and not the one I was hoping I had.  On the film I did find, by context, what I believe happened is someone said they saw bardar, I couldn't, so I went looking for the guy.  I found him at 20k or so.  If you want the film, just let me know and I'll email it tonight.

It's the consistantly bit that bugs me. I would have thought that whether my FE updates earlier or later than Player B would be somewhat random ( maybe driven from a log on time or something) . But  even changing my hardware set up and upgrading to AH3 still preserved the status quo in this respect.

The rates has nothing to do with your front end. And when is not all at once, it is at what time each player you are updated. You could be seeing player A move before your friend. But your friend would see Player B move before you.

Is our CBM radar view updated based on where we sit in a queue, versus we all get the same update at the same moment by a global data broadcast?

In our squad we have compared darbar size or lack of a darbar many times.  No squad member sees a change first, consistently.  It is very random on who sees what,when.

FYI.. i believe the dar is fixed.

Noticed in medium sized furballs that werent big enough to generate a full darbar,  you would see a ton more update movement in the dar.

Ill keep an eye open to see if I run into any high alt cons that dont generate any bar dar.

Yep!

Much better! Population does thin out late night/early morning for us near central timezone but it has incouraged more players to stick around longer!

So far I havent noticed much discrepancies with what other people have been seeing
