1. The shading makes icons harder to see.  It should be lighter than the terrain., not darker.

2. The dar circles should not overlap in layers.  Just the coverage area should show, but with only one shade, regardless of overlapping coverage.

3. The red circles shouldn't even be there and add clutter.  If a radar is out, the absence of a dar circle would make it obvious.

To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds.
For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."

I like it!

I would like to see it tad lighter.

Unless it can't be changed, darker overlap does not need to be there.

Could this be an option in the gui? We could choose disk or ring, for those who prefer classic dar. Using the gui to change the disc colors and shading wwould be nice too.

I hate it, and haven't yet found ANYONE outside this message board that likes it. Old way was fine, why fix something that wasn't broken?

Did you ever look at the radar ring on Buzzsaw near the middle of the map?

I vote for lighter than the underlying terrain and I also vote for removal of the ring if radar is down.

I'm not a fan and turned it off. Just too dark. As others have said, what prompted the change?

Suggestion: Given the "announcement" feature, why not use that to give the players some info on new changes. I had no idea a right click on the new DAR rings produced field status info.

When you install the update, at the very end, it will tell you what the new changes are.

I agree that there should be some sort of control on the opaqueness of the ring. trying to get used to it otherwise. not sure what it looks like if the radar is down.

I haven't tried clicking on the radar rings, but the field status info box pops up when you place the cursor over a field on the clipboard map (this doesn't work in flight however - HiTech said in another thread that's a bug and he will look at it today).

Sounds like only 2 REAL issues.

1. If many radar are dead is difficult to see icons Sector counters and icons.

2. Color blind users are not seeing the red black change.

From what I saw, if there's enough overlapping radar in one area it is difficult to see much of anything, it gets too dark.  Does it need to darken when they overlap?

Might it make sense/be possible to have sector counters and icons on top of the radar circles instead of underneath them?
If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

I may get tarred and feathered.... But I really like the new changes. I came back to a pair of patches and think the map looks great!

After the initial WTF moment and a bit of poking around the map the benefits became clear. Love it HTC and co. !!!!!    :salute
