Option for Icon Scaling
« on: January 31, 2017, 02:00:54 PM »
Take a look at this picture.... Tell me if you can see what is different about it than the standard picture you are used to seeing...

If image doesn't show please click here:

I scaled the icons by range from me....closest one F4U1A (bottom of picture) is bigger than the one at 2.5K which is bigger than the oe at 3.5K which is bigger than the one at 4.0K....and the smallest (left middle) is almost at icon limit.

I think this would add a little "depth perception" into the game via icon use...also cause you to look a little harder at the bandit 6K out to determine type vs the one at 600....

Make it an option for those who want it, and leave the default for those who don't?

Thoughts?

It's through my groups website. It uses Amazon S3 for all the storage of the entire site.

My thought process on this is "how to get "depth perception" in a 2d world...and I think this would help. Especially if it is an option (that way everyone has the current, constant size or the scaled icons)....

The icons should be smaller or faded when farther away.
It will add some depth to the game.
