Any reason you think it would be better for C47s to carry 20 vs the current 10? Or just that it would be easier to take bases?

This has been wished for before. The response was that if C47's carried 20 troops, it would take 20 troops to take the map room.

Personally, I think its fine how it is.

The extra troops would make it an interesting choice over the M-3.  The M-3 is much more survivable because it is harder to see.  A C-47 can bee seen outside of icon range but with the advantage of extra troops, it might see more use.  If it can get to town alive, the extra troops are going to be harder to kill.

It isn't any different than weighing the options between planes or vehicles for your sortie.  Right now, the M-3 (because of relative invisibility) has made the C-47 obsolete.  The only reason to ever take one is if there is no spawn to the enemy base.

For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."

Keep the C47 as it is and add the C54 with 20 troops or 20 Vehicle supplies. :)

I think the problem is that a typical player wants his troops to take the base, not the next guy's troops. So its unlikely HTC would make the number of troops required for a take more than what an M-3 or similar GV can carry. So the only advantage to having 20 troops on a C-47 would be to make it harder for defenders to kill enough of them to stop the take, but that is still more than balanced by the relative vulnerability of the carrier aircraft.

HT's often said, 1 troop carrier, enough troops for 1 base take.  Just saying it's unlikely.

add a speed nerf if an M3 isn't on roads.

make going cross country less appealing, and to stick to the fast roads but more visible and dangerous

Would it be easier to just change the hardness to require more than 10?

That's not the intent, what you are asking would also change the c47. I was just thinking of making it advantageous to use the 47 vs an m3.

Good idea since the M3 has been the method to go to for taking bases i think it would  take a bit more planning then swarm the map room with 30+ troops like i have seen before
