I would not fly in AH without it, and in Cliffs of Dover you pretty much must have it to be competitive.
Took me a month to get used to it.

Had it for years,  and used it with triple 40" screens the last six years, then bought an Rift. 

TIR will now collect dust in the corner.  No going back!

Got my TrackIr 11 yeas ago and never looked back. Felt completeley natural after some time of profile tweaking (which is very important). Soon I couldn't fly with any kind of hat views anymore at all.

I think it's the single greatest thing about virtual flying. Go with the Pro-Clip, it simplified the process and quality of function.

Go for it man, but go with the pro-clip. It will change your situation awareness and how you play the game.

Does anyone have any experience with trackhat or delanclip?

It seems that, from what I have been reading, they are all about the same except trackhat and delanclip are a bit less expensive.

I have a new trakir with the clip selling for 65.  if you order the clip pro from the manufacturer  it's about 30 bucks.  you can have a brand new set for  around 100 bucks.  if you ordered from the manufacture it would be 194 with 2 day shipping.

I said the same thing when I saw the classifieds thread .  mine broke and all I needed was the clip pro but I didnt know at the time so I ordered the full thing so I could play fso and scenario.

Yeah, well, mine is attached to a camo hunting cap so those who know me dont give it a second glance.

One thing tho is the hat one seems much more sensitive to background light. I have to make sure theres no light coming in from the shaded window behind me. Other then that its good to go and sometimes I prefer listening to the game on speakers and using a clip on mic.

Alright Guys: I took the dive and ordered my tracker and it will be here Sat 1 Apr and I also got the pro clip. So will be setting this thing up before I get surgery done on the 7th of Apr. Hope while I am recovering from surgery I will be able to get it all set up and maybe my sucky SA will improve LMAO. Thanks for all the info.

Pops, it will seem strange at first but in just a short time your brain will convinced you are looking right even though your eyes are glued to the screen.  Don't forget about the speed slider.  It took me about two months to get it near perfect for me.  Add a revision number to yourr profiles change so if you go in the wrong direction, you can recover.

I'm so used to it now that when it wasn't working on a couple sorties earlier I was getting the same disoriented/sick feeling I had when I first started using it.  Once you're used to it pops you won't want to fly without it.
