Trying to fight 3 p-40s, insta-deathed by a distant ship puffy ack (and no the P-40s weren't even running to their ack).

Maybe next time de-tune the ack, or allow friendly damage from puffy ack on friendly aircraft.

Agree. Engine taken out by ship puffy ack. I play FSO to fight other players, not have the game shoot me down. Other FSOs usually have ack turned way down so it's just a distraction. This current FSO seems = to MA.

Ack was set at 0.4 of normal MA strength, pretty standard for FSO. There is no setting to adjust friendly versus enemy damage.

There is a conspiracy theory that the ack has got better in AH3, maybe it needs to be lowered. I've added a request into wishlists for puffy friendly damage options. Maybe one day...

I don't think it was the ack strength as much as the number of fleets. I don't recall any recent setup that has had 5 fleets bunched together like that.

We lost several every frame to 1 ping ack hits, myself included in Frame 1.

Well, when the objective IS the ships, you have to fly at them at least once.

In my opinion, flak damage is just part of it.  I hope we dont get to a point where the puffy is there only to look at.  I get it it sucks.  Ive been killed by enemy puffy before.  It sucks even worse when its not even at the target, or a neutral factory gets you.  Flying into a concentration of fleets isnt much different than flying into a swarm of 109s in a P-40.

Yep it happens. I got hit over Europe flying 30 million miles over a city. I think you guys did awesome yesterday as you saturated the target area with fighters right away, you controlled the zone ... the drawback was forcing you to loiter way too long in that stuff waiting for the bombers. Couldn't have it both ways.
