ShruG .... no problem .... use it in good health. I'd suggest a bit more sunscreen.

And don't let the quote and poster from Casablanca keep you frazzled.   ;)

Damn, ya know I'm *really* startin' to like this fella.

Dunno what you mean about us not being used to the humour Hblair, I've been in stitches this whole thread.   :D

Oh and Rotor, FYI DejaNumpty draws first blood in every thread he's ever posted in and when he realises he taking on someone who actually makes a reasonable argument (or someone who makes a totally unreasonable argument, like you) he usually sulks and doesnt post in that thread again.

You're gonna fit in around here just fine.  :D

you should have mentioned that you needed to copy the link into its own browser. geocities doesn't allow you to remotely host images, so for all us normal people all we saw was a little red X until I, hereby named 'Mr Know It All' figured it out.

Out of curiousity, why did you name Hblairs picture 'whitedumboy?'

Wow swoop.. you managed to stalk your way into this one too. Sorry I haven't been "arguing" in this thread more... guess I let you down?  I'll try to do better.

To the author:

Have you played in any AH scenarios?

Do you have any idea how the hamsters running the show here have been doing it?

If the answer to the first question is no... then the second is also no.

Given that... maybe you should give them a shot before offering a critique.. no matter how tongue in cheek.

Maybe the people that want to get into the scenario scene can also start mingling with the current teams to get a feel for things and see how they can work in.

There really isn't a need to start things off on a defensive note.  If you don't believe your initial post does this... then you are obtuse.

Basically, you expressed concern for how a reception was going to occur without even giving the community a chance in the first place.  That is how an outside does things.

I read through your first thread and found it quite funny.  I found your replies and others humorous... I thought I replied in the tone of the thread.  I was suprised that some were taking it seriously.  You can do that with threads that are about nothing.

This thread was not about nothing.  It started with "jokes" about the community and about the CMs.  These jokes can work when people know where you are coming from... when they know you.  Since you present them as a casual observer, I question just how much humor is really intended and how much it is just offered as an excuse to deflect blame when people get offended.

Nobody is slamming Air Warrior players here.  It would just be nice if some people actually became AH players instead of AW players that just moved here and still miss the other sim.  This game is different.  This community is different.  The community can and will change, it just doesn't need to happen the day you arrive in the manner you expect.
