Not particularly, was just pointing out a relatively simple solution that would take care of your concern over issues with storing the settings remotely.

So, you are asking for an automatic backup solution?  I suppose you want it to be able to roll back if you fubar your settings as well?

well yeah, I'm the customer dang-nab-it.... I want remote storage, automatic everything, zero liability, zero responsibility, LAN speeds when playing your game from the antarctic research station.

I get it skuz.... I'm an AV integrator and the number of times i've heard a client say, cant you just make it wireless?  is astounding and frightening.  :bolt:

And seriously SKuzzy, you could be webmaster your whole life, but you accidentally pull ONE power cord, and your THAT guy forever...  :salute

It was two cords, within minutes of each other.  How many of those guys are still around? :)

Actually, I really like this suggestion.  It is the best of both worlds.  You access your settings locally when you play the game, but you have a backup online if you need it.

Our server room used to have a button that would cut power to the main power bus.  More than once someone bumped the button and brought the network down.

(To quote "The Emperor's New Groove", "Why do we even have that lever?")

Needless to say, that box was replaced rather quickly.   :)
