all we need are just more vehicle bases packed closer together. NO MORE teleporting

ADVANCE AND SECURE

Someone tried that years before you joined the game with his terrain. There were GV bases jammed together in fours as path junctions so you just drove at each other out of the hanger. Then long lines of GV bases defining advance and secure pathways radiating out from the junctions all over the map. The GVers always got stuck in each country at a junction bases group. And this was during the 400 player average night years. It took squad mates carpet bombing all the enemy bases into ziltch to help capture the enemy GV bases and free up their own GVers to move down the line. At first it was interesting and fun, then it got boring and disappeared from rotation. We got tired of pulling the GVer's kesters out of the morass they couldn't fight their way out of. The map usually got flipped while the GVer's hadn't moved an inch all night long. I almost wonder if that experience caused the minimum distance requirement between vBases to be 3 miles.

Balancing GV bases to airfields with some rational to spawns as an interdisciplinary force has worked better since to keep the largest number of players doing more than just getting bogged down in one place all night. AvA does tank things like you want that may be up your ally. It's why I put the tank pit in the center of my terrain for those who just want to grind in one place all night long.

You really should build a terrain so you can try out your ideas on Hitech and see if he will accept them for the Meleee arena. It teaches you alot about what will and what won't work in practical application.

The Gi's  don't have to be even 3d to not pull a lot of strain on the system, they can be just 2d sprites to have a lot of them.... like in the first total wars

Am I correct to assume that a 2d sprite transfers a lot less data and uses less resources than a 3d model ?

This is news to me, didn't old games used 2d sprites made up of screenshots of, rendered, 3d modelled items to save on space and cpu/graphics requirements?

Refers to networking.

Refers to graphics generation.

I have a question Nugetx

how many post's of the same or similar idea's are you going to open. before you realize that your ideas aren't going to work. I was just asking.
come join us in the game and play. explore making your own maps, that's why HiTech put in the arena's where you can do that.

I'm not trying to make any enemies or make anybody mad or drive anybody off.
but one question just occurred to me- have you hounded any other developers of any sims/games to make changes to them to your liking, like you have HTC or is this your 1st?

just asking-hope to see you in the skies of AH

P.S. fly Knights we are friendlier
