some eclipse photos from our trip
« on: August 31, 2017, 12:58:04 PM »
We dropped the kid off at college in Colorado and made a run up to Casper, WY, came in the back way (220) and missed all the traffic.

cool photos.  total eclipse looks sweet. The parking lot photo with the headlight helps show how dark it was.

Here is the final 30 seconds as it goes total.
Turn up your speakers to hear the crowd.
Forgot to pull the filter off the camera as it went full. DOH!

I put together this timelapse Eclipse video from start to full eclipse.
Casper, Wyoming event center.
If you click VIMEO in lower right, then go full screen, you can see the cold spots (black) on the sun's surface.

Hey Mav,
Thought about you the other day, I was going thru my archieves and found a photo of a couple of AH geeks at the Museum of Flight. I want to say it was around 2007? Can't remember.

Cool video, Rip, thanks for posting.

You don't happen to have that piece you wrote way back about being a squad leader in your archives, do you?  I can't remember much of it but I recall it was insightful.

I just looked through my Tripod account in 2000, and 2001 and I don't storing anything like that Oboe.
It may have just been an email to the squads?
Sorry man!

Speaking of archives, here is a list of squadrons I interviewed for our news letter back in the day.
Pretty funny reading back on this stuff!

No worries, it was good and I wouldn't have minded reading it again.  Might've just been a post on a forum somewhere, or maybe it was on your squad's old website?  Can't recall now...

I can't either but regardless, I may have had too much coffee and been in Management training that day. :)

Management training, does that start or end with a lobotomy?

I never went into management so my brain is still intact, Mav. :)

I'm a project manager, but not sitting on brass row, I'm in the weeds with the people doing the real work. :)
