Thndregg, unfortunately the numbers are a BIG handicap, to those big, long missions. The time you posted mission was a big influence as to why no one joined. We,on BISH, were defending 5 different fields on 2 fronts. Think numbers were 56 Bish, 49 Knight and 63 Rook. We had 14 guys AFK in tower. That is spreading us way thin. Rooks were really rolling, Tunes was in the house, with every computer he had running 4 sets of Lancs plus alot of others along for the action. The lancs were low, and the fighters thick...was asking alot for some to give up on great action for a long mostly dull STRAT mission. Most folk, just arent geared up for that sort of game play. Me, personally, I live for nights with lots of low alt, aggressive players swarming all over. Its quick and fun, for several hours. I can Wirb with great action, or Fighter with great action and after 4 days of Mediocre action(at best) it really makes it difficult to pass that action up for a long flight. It wasnt so much a case of no one wanting to help out as it was a, this is what we have been hoping for all week. I know you long for those big bomber missions of old, and nothing wrong with that. You may be able to get more numbers to join you in missions that are more of a "Base take" effort. I know even then numbers are lacking for joiners, but something quick, a low alt precision field shut down and WF mission. May not be as exciting as those big missions, but it could help to bridge that gap a bit? Several squads like to run their squad night missions on big strat runs. I usually think at least once, when I see this.."Wish those bombers could run missions to help sack a base! With that many bombers, we could roll this map!" I know not every one fits in with the "Win THE WAR" crowd, but it could be a fun endeavor. I dont have these memories of Early Aces High, but what I have found in this game is something great, for me. I just hate seeing folk discouraged. Guess I am just so happy because I DONT remember how it was? I just didnt have to make AS MANY adjustments to my style of game play, to keep it enjoyable?
