I am sure Hitech could make this change if he wants to, that is I don't think there's much beyond his capability as a programmer. But, it might mean taking the existing program apart and rebuilding it with an altered structure - like maybe a shell program surrounding the current exe that maintains our connection data, provides the Lobby area, etc.
So it might be pretty involved coding-wise.
Still, glad to see this suggestion made because being kicked out with a "Host Connection Lost" message or something like that, even after multiple text warnings about the arena resetting is not a good thing IMO. I think we just all got used to "that's the way it works" and never really questioned it.
Best situation I think would be to be placed in a Lobby area where you can chat with your country-mates, maybe click a link to go check stats from the last tour (might be cool to have stats available by each map within a tour?), or your current score, all the while a message box or status bar shows the "Arena is resetting..." progress. When the new map is ready you're placed back in tower at a field.
Another option would be when we are booted from the arena at reset, we are sent back to the arena selection menu - that way we at least stay in the game.
