Last episode broadcast on December 7th. Imho, it's just what decent TV is all about. Entertaining and doesn't take itself too seriously.

I couldn't agree more

The diversity of the stories is a really nice break from the long story arcs most sci-fi shows embrace.

BBC America features a day of the original Star Trek series.  I watch them religiously like I did in the late 60s.

Is the first season done?  I'd rather binge it.

It's now finished BD. Last episode of the first series broadcast last night. Enjoy!

I like how they're taking issues today and showing what our future society might do with them. The Up/Down voting culture is an interesting take on our internet judge & Jury approach to issues...

Thank goodness for the Mawklins.... You can eat anything? Oh this is gonna be a thing! lol

China's social credit system...  The future is here folks.

The whole season's out now?  Time to see if it's worth binging.

Also, this is a major selling point for me.

The diversity of the stories is a really nice break from the long story arcs most sci-fi shows embrace.

The only thing the Orville is missing is Orion Slave girls, if it had those it'd be perfect.

This time it was a green guy instead of a green girl so they did include it in away.

I liked Discovery overall, but its more like Star Trek on HBO when no one sensitive is around than the Jean Luc Picard (or Kirk) at dinner time with the family we may have grown up with.

I'll have to check out Orville. The commercials for it made it look like total cheese.  I liked Galaxy Quest a lot, but I wasn't looking forward to a TV show that is nothing but a parody.  It sounds like you guys think Orville achieved more than this though.  Is the first season done?  I'd rather binge it.

Haven't seen Discovery after first episode ( wasn't really thrilled with their take of the Klingons ).  I was a huge fan of TNG.. tho still a fan of TOS, and DS9.  Voyager was ok, and Enterprise, I thought, dwelt too much on the suliban.

Orville, however, doesn't really need to be binge-watched.  There doesn't seem to be recurring theme to wonder what happens week-to-week.

I continue to be impressed with MacFarlane's world.  Looking forward to season 2.

SPOILER ALERT - No the bit when the captain is bored and knocks on LaMarr's door and his companion asks if the captain wants to come in and have a drink with them. LaMarr's reaction  :rofl
