Game is definitely worth playing anymore

Just as a counterpoint to some of the base-taking and GV whining going on about game changes around here lately:

Yesterday I had a most awesome Match Play session against Blade san in his Spit9 - a formidable opponent-plane combination in the MPA. Had my ACM reactor on 120% the whole time, barely kept control for most of the flights and came away with one new experimental piece of ACM, one fault in my knowledge to correct and two things to master on my own time and learned more in that 30 minutes (including about an hour of reflection) than I typically have in months of bumbling around in the MA or former DA furbal lake.

MPA is awesome. Quality. Not quantity.

The other day I made a v base flash with my M-8. I took down the radar and got a couple of auto-guns. Before long
I had a M-8 chasing me, a storch on my six, two panzer H's, and one bomb****er looking for me. Was that fun?
Heck yeah. Did they get me?  Yep  LOL

Shida, I have yet to come up with a solution for Blade...he's damned near unstoppable in that Spit 9. It's really impressive. But you ARE right, it's a blast every time I get in there, especially to get humbled by you.
The only problem with this game right now is the usual grossly lopsided Bishops, and their constant whines about anything at all.

Shida, I have yet to come up with a solution for Blade...he's damned near unstoppable in that Spit 9. It's really impressive.

He's like the E/M Terminator. Walks that line very adeptly. Thinks, reflects and adapts if you beat him. Never called me a bad name. Ever.  Plus that Mark IX on 25% fuel is a beast. Holds it vert like an experienced K-4 stick. Seen some crazy-low speeds in the film viewer.

But you ARE right, it's a blast every time I get in there, especially to get humbled by you.

My Saturday's are made on the hobby front if we have a few rounds. Half the time I'm dangling my arse over the fence like the cat from Tom & Jerry with that dog next door  Once I counted the Hurricane Mark I bullet holes in my 84. There were 6972. Still trying to work out how you reloaded on the wing

Death by a thousand needles......F77 can walk all over me in that Hurricane Mk 1, and the only plane that I can beat him with when he's in it is another Hurri Mk1! I surely hope he comes back. He's starting to look at getting a proper computer again.

Heh.  He was so much better than I, that he stopped flying the Spit and took up a 202 (like me) and still smacked me around with a wet carp.  The guy is remarkable, very pleasant, willing to stoop to your level (I am proof!), and worth fighting until you cry "Uncle!" and log out so you can bury your head in a pillow and cry like a little girl.

I fought blade a couple times with him in the spit9. He is a great stick.

Absolutely gargantuan battle going on in MPA right now between Blade, Rud3boi and I. Never had fights like them! Happy Friday indeed!

 


The only thing spoiling it is trying to watch Lawrence of Arabia in the background YAWN.

I had a great time in the MA last night. A couple of good dogfights. Got my bellybutton handed to me a couple of times. Great fun! I took a wirble to an enemy base and the GV dar kept bringing 'em right to me to shoot them down. I like it! I died, of course, but I had good fights. Somehow, I never have a problem finding a fight.
