there should be a dump file in the temp folder of AH, just zip it up and post it here.

Using guns on task force causing dump to desktop
« Reply #3 on: March 18, 2018, 11:31:15 PM »
While using the 8" guns on the task groups, my game crashed 4 times today.  I don't get booted often, but it is usually when I'm in task group guns firing away with others.

Map:   Buzzsaw  (it has also happened on CraterMA in the past)

3 dmp files attached for the Buzzsaw map,  along with my DXDIAG.

Thanks,  One-eye

Game crashed on Oceana map while I was in the 16" guns on BB.  I'm wondering if it has something to do with my computer configuration, but I don't think I have experienced on every map.  DMP file and dxdiag attached below.

Thanks,  One-eye

I don't know how the game programs the sound through FMOD (working on learning that aspect of it), but I think the number of voices may have something to do with it. If the explosions have polyphony added, it may be triggering the creation of a number of voices that exceeds the maximum supported for the audio device. I think Sound Blaster tips the scale at 128 simultaneous voices. Like I said, still learning but that seems like a possibility.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Last night on Baltic, cruiser guns firing at another ship. When the second 8in turret opened up my sight picture started vibrating rapidly and the yellow range bar no longer calculated the correct range when I lined it up on the enemy ship. Suddenly during a loud salvo from the other battery, CTD to the desktop.

What I found is that the crash happens when I am adjusting the gun elevation with key commands (w,s) while the gun loading sounds are happening. It crashes right at the end of the loading when the guns become available to fire. If I don't do anything till the guns are loaded and the sounds are done, I don't crash.

I experienced this "Stutter" as well last night... Couldn't move the naval guns using SEA mode...   Didn't get any metrics for you guys, but thought I'd chime in as I had the same affect that bustr's describing happen to me. No CTD for me at any time, just unusable naval guns.

Another problem is with VR...the default forward view is off by 90*. Almost like a fixed forward from battery location, so if gun moves to port, view is still slaved at starting battery location.

When EXACTLY did it crash, when pulling the trigger?

The CTD crashes in the fmod system which I do not have axis to the source code to debug, so I need to get some insight of where to look. Any other information about as an example (what is around you)  will help me find it.
