Hello All

I recently ditched the consoles and moved back to PC gaming. Picked up a new HOTAS setup yesterday, and looking to get back into things. I used to fly Air Warrior back in the old days (DOS, Windows, 2, 3), and can't find anything out there close to it, except for this. Looking forward to getting smoked by you guys while I relearn how to fly...where's that old Robert Shaw book?

Fighter Combat Tactics and Maneuvering by Robert L. Shaw is still in print. 

If a site is posting a PDF of that book, they may be doing so without permission.  If they are doing it with permission, then they need to say so.

welcome aboard! I have been here since AW closed its doors. Was MDJOE there. Aces High is a great game but with lots to learn. Ask questions both here and in game. most people are happy to help!

Aces high is the place for former air warriors.

Also, we are currently running a scenario, like we used to run in air warrior.  You are welcome to come play in it. It is saturday, 3 pm eastern, in special events 2 arena.  :rock

Wow. Fighter Aces - that brings back memories. :)

TTM - welcome to Aces High.  We're mostly normal around here and all come from a wide range of backgrounds and beginnings of MMO flight combat simulations.

Watch out for the sharks though - you can easily identify them as they mostly wear Dr. Seuss hats (and nothing else)...

As important as strategy is, getting your settings for your stick, views, gun convergence, and researching performance data on your favorite planes might have a bigger effect on your success.
