Thanks guys. I thought it was interesting to see how the spec and power values for bare metal react under much more subdued lighting conditions than the outdoor AH III sun. This plane is being illuminated only by the relatively weak hangar ceiling lights and 2 banks of free standing shop work lights, one right and one left.
I'd like it if the hangar had an external view that worked the way aircrafts do - you can move around the aircraft, up, down, zoom in and out, but always pointed at the aircraft. I do that on the runway all the time. I'm in Gods eye view here, but of course going around to the other side doesn't show much as its pretty dark over there. Might be a cool feature to be able to click and drag the aircraft through a 360 degree spin with the mouse - then we could see a lot more nose art, which is most often on the left sides of the aircraft. Zoom feature in here is only two position in and out - I can't scale it like I do with external runway view.
For me at least there is something more immersive about being up close to the the aircraft. I actually have a tiny urge to place an oil drip pan under the lower rear engine cover panels as I look at the plane sitting there.
