This is "Double Trouble Two" S/N 44-63684 Coded SX*B flown by then-Lt. Col. William B. Bailey of the 352nd Fighter Squadron, 353rd Fighter Group. He served as Air Executive and Deputy Commanding Officer being credited with six victories (three air, three ground) over 186 missions. His awards include the Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross (6OLC), Air Medal (3OLC), WWII Victory Medal, European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Campaign and Defense Medal, and the Legion d'Honneur.
He remained in USAF rising to the rank of Lieutenant General.

This aircraft was originally skinned by Fencer. I preserved some of his nose art as a tribute to his work but had to fix the name. It was skinned as "Double Trouble too" but the actual name is "Double Trouble two" (the last word is lower case). I also redid the checker pattern to make it more closely match the original. There are some artifacts that result from the three nose pieces coming together that cannot be avoided. I did my best.
