How many use VR?

I'm very curious about trying VR but wonder how it runs on a mid-range PC. Mine can run the current AH on max settings at constant ~60fps. I have an AMD 8300 3.3 8-core, NVIDIA 1050 2gb VRAM and 16gb of memory.

I believe it meets the "requirements" for Oculus Rift but I heard that you need something better than recommended for it to work well.

Any experience running it on a system of these specs? I'd hate to spend the money then find out I need to upgrade my PC.
