Not sure if they still make the ones with the chocolate or strawberry flavored fillings, but those were pretty good. They were great if you freeze them - easier to bite and chew.

Charleston chews are yummy

Candy corn is about the worst thing invented. Then they came out with the pumpkin shaped candy corn. Equally as terrible.

As of 2016, annual production in the United States is 35 million pounds, or almost 9 billion pieces of candy.

The original name was 'chicken feed'.

I'm in Maine and love Charleston Chew. We used to freeze them and break them into little pieces.

Most is probably sold to people doing Halloween themed crafts with them, or people that need cheap gravel for driveways.
