Maybe you need to quit looking at it through your eyes. That new player is probably having a ball in a new game while yall are complaining about a terrain.

And if the new players were having a ball, they wouldnt be leaving the game forever in the first hour they log in. Maybe its time you put those rose colored glasses away.

A lot of mesh/shape creations involves more then just then what you see. There are animation aspects such as setting constraints on DOFs, tagging of sub nodes and faces along with assigning attributes that the program Aces High interacts with.

HTC has always used Creator as our primary 3d tool, and all our tools for doing the tagging are built around Presagis  Creator. While the visual mesh can many times be converted between different programs, All the other pieces of data vary rarely move between programs.

The next aspect is if we integrate something into HTC builds, we must have the ability to maintain it. Hence it would be very difficult to support and manage different source formats for mesh creation. Just as when we made a change to mesh formats from AHII to AHIII we were able to rebuild all our meshes, but that left players created content broken.

HiTech

Ok, that makes sense. I figured it had something to do with how creator manages object databases but just wanted ti make sure before I commented.

It also explains a lot about the look and feel of the game.

Thanks!

Now you have confused me? How do you think it effects the look of the game?

Just previewing their site and the visuals that they show for projects being worked on and demo videos look similar to the look of AHIII. It's probably just coincidence.

I have no doubt you could. Creator normally runs about $10k a copy are you interested in purchasing a copy? And exactly how do you think you could be of use with interfaces?

I'm in no way disparaging your skills, but it would be impossible for us to put any reliance on you for material creation because how long and if you work on something is up to you. And experience has taught me that players typically work on things that they are interested in, not what needs to be done.

Hence I am grateful for any content creation from players, but it is pretty much impossible to depend on a customer as part of the production chain.

HiTech

I actually didn't wanted to push the thread in this direction it was already clear for me you where not in need of my services. Which is fair.

I had to bring it up though that I offered help since some where saying that unless you have made something for the game you have no right to think anything about content that's available in the game.

I don't think you have to address that point bro. It's plainly a contrived false dichotomy employed by partisan-thinking. If we can be so unfair to the word thinking  :)

While Buzzaw is friendly towards the GV crowd, it's not good to those who prefer flying if you not really into JABO runs (or maybe run bombers).
There have been exceptions but at Euro time zone it's practically little to no radar bar to be seen.

Buzzsaw is fun for the gv crowd. No doubt about it. There are spawns into the other countries strats that generates instant gv action. Also, there are lots of gv's running supplies or defending. Either way it makes for allot of fun. There are some maps that are better for those that fly, like NDIsles. The gv spawns are woefully long drives to anywhere. Who wants to spend ten minutes driving only to have eggs fall on them? They also changed the bases in the center island to Airfields. On the AH2 version there were Vehicle bases that spawned into the middle. The middle of TT is usually empty now  because of the eggturds. If you eliminate Buzzsaw then we should take NDIsles with it.

My two cents.

There's a reason why I've never really liked "furball islands" in the MA, even though air combat is my thing. I believe that bases should be close enough in the MA that fights naturally start themselves. A path to action thru vehicle bases is a lot of fun for all types of play... Furball islands do not provide any strategy to the MA. A furballer who is fighting not in a furball island is actually helping the base take and strategy effort. Most players come for the air combat. Most people have left because of long flights for air combat. Maps that do not spur action because of far bases, unorganized base paths that spread players out all over the place, create slow boring gameplay. Maps should have a way for all sides to fight each other at the same time but it should not be thru furball islands. I've studied this for years playing AH.

Do you guys not realize how far the back bases in Buzzsaw are? Do you realize that 90% of the people only fly in the middle and it's middle doesn't even make sense or have a path. Do you see any other map being hated as much? Literally showing it in the #s when it's up. You gotta reason with us here, Hitech.

only reason i dont like buzzsaw is because i am bipolar and all the fields and darbar confuses the hell out of me.  may seem stupid to you but to me spend 10 minutes trying to figure out which field to take from and which to attack is annoying so i normally dont fly it.

If the outside of the map had better/more base placement, it would be one of my favorites.

Can we at least have this map unavailable on Fridays?

Many guys only fly in the MA to warm up for FSO, Unless they have bombers, warm-up sorties are a moot point on Buzzkill.
