On this date after 33 months 28 Days the army and I parted ways . The last year of my enlistment was spent in Germany. Without a doubt one of the best times of my life. I was able to wear out two pairs of civilian shoes in that time. Considering that a short week was probably 60 hours this was quite an accomplishment.
Looking back on it now I can't help but feel that if I'd stayed in I would be a buck Sargent by now
