While technically true, the reason for it has little or nothing to do with ACA. We also have far less beds than we did in 1975. Reasons are many but a few of the biggest ones are better medicine, better surgical techniques and better pharmaceutical interventions. All three of those combined add to the quickly growing outpatient services sector of health care. Since these have grown in popularity in the recent years, the need for costly overnight hospital stays has declined.

It would be nice to have the 119 rural hospitals that closed since 2010.  The general reason is that they couldn't stay in business with all the new rules, additional record keeping, and smaller government payments. They didn't close because they weren't needed.

That's the best joint civic / government response to an issue in this country in a long time and its used as a joke by some, pathetic, as bad as CNN, they couldn't allow themselves to say anything positive after the speech no matter what. Regardless which side your on those were positive steps to be taken.
