In one article “Sources say Xiangguo Qiu, biologist Keding Cheng, and an unknown number of Qiu’s students were escorted from the National Microbiology Lab” You claim the one scientist was arrested. PHAC called it “an administrative matter”.

The article; “canadian-scientist-center-chinese-bio-espionage-probe-found-dead-africa” yet the article itself says  “Plummer collapsed and was taken to hospital in Nairobi, where he was pronounced dead on arrival” your media source makes no mention of anything suspicious. He was 67, and a self admitted life long alcoholic.

I guess the lack of information or anything suspicious in regards to a guy passing away is our cue to start creating our our own narrative, perpetuate baseless rumor and then pass it along as fact.

Now now.. one must not question. One must only believe. If it's on Youtube and produced with alarming sounds or produced on a website claiming they'll be shut down, that makes it 100%.

All the other millions and millions and millions of people are wrong. Only the sacred few believers can honestly know the truth. All else are doomed to a life of ignorance. Granted it's a useless life, under the guise of raising families, contributing to society or some other terrible thing. Only true happiness can be found by searching little known websites of for the truth. Come one TyFoo.. come to the light.. you can be saved!

I am trying to follow.....I got sidetracked last night as he has stated numerous times that the Dems are bad. Ok, I am on board, all Dems are bad! Understand.. it's a bit overwhelming to learn so much is hidden in plain sight. You gotta stick with the programming.. sorry education to really get it. Keep watching YouTube, reading FB and NEVER turn off Fox News. It must run 24 hours a day to be safe nothing is missed.

And yes.. whoever the current head republican is... just KNOW they are 100% good for you. ANY dem or liberal is 100% bad for you unless FoxNews says they are good for you.. then in that case YouTube or FB will instruct you on what to do. Above all never trust a news source, any basic logic, any science or facts, up to and including yourself... only trust folks from Youtube or FB that TELL you, you can trust them. Covid-19 is now estimated to be 3.4% mortality rate.  It is estimated to have an even higher infection rate as the Flu.

More infectious and 34x more deadly than the Flu that kills 60,000, and there is no vaccine.

34 x 60,000 = 2,040,000 potential deaths.

Can anyone give me an argument based on hard facts why 2 mil US deaths over the next year until we get a vaccine isn't a reasonable high-end estimate?  4x the total deaths we suffered in WWII?  Or maybe a low-end estimate?  It could get worse.

The only argument I can see is maybe we can keep it from spreading as widely as the Flu...which we have been fighting with vaccines for 50 years.

Given I think community spread at this point is almost a certainty, I find that a weak argument.   

I hope my math is wrong.  It often is.

To answer my own question, the only rational argument that I've seen is that the testing so far has been so incompetent and incomplete that there have been a lot more mild cases than have been reported so that the overall mortality rate is actually less than what the numbers suggest now.  I'd hope that the CDC would have taken that in to account with their new numbers, but I'm hoping they haven't.

But even giving it every benefit of the doubt, it is easy to imagine 100,000 US deaths before a vaccine is distributed and widely available.

That still sounds like a staggering number to me.
