J/K.  Sort of.  I'll probably buy it through Steam just to deprive Microsoft of 30% revenue.

I tried MS first, but it wouldn't let me install it because it said my device wasn't registered with my MS account. Dicked around with it for 30-45 minutes before refunding and buying through Steam.

I'll probably get it from Steam on Wednesday.
Hope it has an offline mode, so I don't have to connect to Steam everytime I want to just fly around a little.

It isn't really a launcher. Steam is launching FlightSimulator.exe.

You don't have to. You can buy from Microsoft and link your Microsoft account.
