I have a lot of arthritis. We have legal medical marijuana here, and on the ballot an initiative to legalize recreational. I find while counter-intuitive, staying physically active and strong helps my arthritis a lot, although it may cause short-term pain too. I especially enjoy long hikes in the mountains. But to get back to the OP topic I make my own edibles from both high THC & high CBD bud, and use about a 50:50 ratio. It's helped me cut back about 80% on NSAID and opioid pain meds and also on prescription sleep med. What I don't like about it is I get really dry eyes and mouth. Like many things you build a tolerance to THC & CBD both, and either need to keep increasing your dose, or take breaks to keep your dose low. I know folks here that use various CBD commercial products. But for me, other than the bit of extra work, I like getting the bud because I know what is in my concoction, and my local favorite high CBD strain (Nightengale) is about 20% CBD, that's 200 mg of CBD for $10, which is good for about 15 doses at my current dosage.
